BenQ introduces two DLP projectors with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The projectors are intended for the living room and one of the two models is a short throw projector.

In addition to the 1080p resolution and the 16:9 format, the BenQ W1090 and BenQ W1210ST have two HDMI ports, one of which supports MHL. They also have a USB type-a port and a mini-USB port, in addition to VGA playback via d-sub.

The BenQ W1090 delivers a maximum brightness of 2000 ansi lumens and this model includes a single 10W speaker. For the audio there are a minijack input and output and this model also has composite and component inputs.

The BenQ W1210ST is a short distance projector. Projectors of this type, thanks to the presence of an aspherical lens, can display a large image at a closer distance to the surface than regular beamers, in this case a 100″ display at 1.5 meters. The W1210ST offers a brightness of up to 2200 ansi- lumens and has two 10W speakers, but lacks composite and component support.

The BenQ W1090 and BenQ W1210ST have suggested retail prices of 839 euros and 1259 euros respectively. The manufacturer optionally supplies a wireless kit for wireless image transfer for 539 euros.
