Asus provides 13.3-inch Chromebook with 32GB flash storage

The specifications of the two Chromebooks from Asus have been published on various American sites. Both the 11.6″ and 13.3″ models will have a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and the Celeron N2830 dual-core. It is striking that the 13.3 “model gets 32GB instead of 16GB storage.

Several webshops have included the upcoming Chromebooks from Asus in their assortment, the Italian Eeevolution noted, including NeoBits and CDW for the 13.3″ model and PCSuperstore and TechBuy for the 11.6″ model. The main specifications are now known.

The C200MA Chromebook has an 11.6 “screen with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, 2GB of ram and 16GB of storage memory via an emmc module. There is also support for wifi-n and bluetooth 4.0. The price is around 269 dollars at the American webshops. and that is converted 194 euros.

The larger variant will be designated C300MA Chromebook and this is a 13.3″ model with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. This model will have more RAM and storage space: 2GB DDR3 and an emmc module of 32GB. All Chromebooks to date had only 16GB of storage memory, right down to the expensive Pixel from Google itself.The C300MA seems to have a starting price of $319, converted 230 euros.

By opting for the recently announced Intel Celeron N2830, Asus seems to be opting for battery life and low price over performance. Recent Chromebooks, such as those from HP, Toshiba, and Dell, had a more powerful Celeron 2955U, which is based on Haswell rather than Bay Trail.
