Respawn has announced that Apex Legends will receive a new map called World’s Edge with the release of Season 3 content. In addition, there will be a new playable character and a new weapon.
Respawn announced this via a message on Twitter, where it also shared a launch trailer of the new map. World’s Edge is an apparently ice and snowy environment on the planet Talos. In addition, the maker refers to a site as ‘molten heat’. The video also shows a large part of the playground.
In addition to a new map, Apex Legends players will also receive a new weapon: the Charge Rifle. With Crypto also comes a new legend, which makes extensive use of drones for exploration, according to Respawn.
Season 3, titled Meltdown, will be released on October 1. The previous iteration, Season 2, released earlier this year in July.
