Acer has introduced a series of new notebooks, including “Timeline” models with long battery life, a netbook and three Aspire laptops. The manufacturer also comes with an all-in-one and a nettop based on Nvidia’s Ion.

Acer’s new Timeline series consists of notebooks with energy-efficient ULV CPUs, with the slowest model having a Core 2 Solo clocked at 1.4GHz and the most powerful one a Core 2 Duo running at 1.6GHz. The notebooks are equipped with 13.3″, 14″ or 15.6″ screens. The smallest model measures 24 mm at its thinnest point and weighs 1.6 kilograms, but lacks an optical drive. The Timelines are based on Intel’s new Consumer Ultra Low Voltage or culv platform and the notebooks would therefore also be a lot cheaper than the current ultraportables with ulv CPUs.In America the prices will be between 700 dollars and 900 dollars, Acer could not yet indicate what the prices in the Benelux will be.
