Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may be getting a Battle Royale mode. A data miner has discovered a map and accompanying information: two hundred players, solos, duos and squads, respawns and various missions and modes within the battle royale.

The data was posted on the Modern Warfare subreddit by Senescallo, who according to Eurogamer has more experience with this sort of thing. The map is very large and users have already discovered that the levels used for the Ground War and Spec Ops game modes are part of the playing field. The area contains sites such as an airport, a city, a dam, a harbor, a television station and more.

Also the possibility to respawns is in this mode. According to the leak, respawn tokens must be looted, after which a deceased team member can be taken to an ambulance. With that, someone doesn’t respawn yet; then he enters the Gulag queue, giving him the chance to compete in a separate 1v1 match against another deceased player for who may respawn. Respawning is no longer possible later in matches, and those who successfully respawn can retrieve their gear from a mobile armory.

There are separate missions within the Battle Royale. However, they are more like challenges, so as not to distract from the real game mode. These are things like assassinations, in which a specific player has to be killed, domination, in which a certain point has to be captured and defended, and scavenger hunt, in which specific loot has to be sought.

There are also things like perks, an in-game economy, a store and a bank that can be robbed. The mode may be out in early 2020 and will be jointly developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released earlier in November.
