Zotac has released a new line of Zbox mini PCs featuring passively cooled, 11th-generation Intel socs: the Core i3-1115G4, i5-1135G7 or i7-1165G7. They come as a barebone system with space for 64GB DDR4 memory, an M.2 SSD and a 2.5″ SATA drive.
The barebone systems are named CI625 nano, CI646 nano and CI665 nano, depending on the processor in the system. The Zbox measures 204 by 129 by 68 mm, with a volume of 1.8 liters, and cools the processor passively, so without a fan. They are the first three models to be equipped with Intel’s eleventh generation socs. FanlessTech website spotted the small PCs on Zotac’s Hong Kong website.
The design of the new Zbox PCs is not much different from that of the brand’s previous generation, which featured Intel’s tenth-generation processors. Like the previous versions, each model will be available as a pre-built system in addition to being a barebone system, says Liliputing. There is room for up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory via two Sodimm slots and there is room for both a 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD and an M.2 SSD.
The system supports WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 and has multiple ports, some on the front and some on the back. For example, it has two Gigabit Ethernet ports, an HDMI 2.0 port and a DisplayPort 1.4 port that supports up to 4k60fps displays, a Thunderbolt 4 port, four USB-A 3.1 ports, a USB-A 2.0 port and a mic in and audio out. The system also comes with an external antenna for better wireless connectivity and a VESA mount to attach the mini PC to the back of a screen.
At the moment Zotac has not yet put prices on the website for the new generation Zboxes. The previous generation is for sale for between 350 and 700 euros, depending on the configuration.
