Xiaomi has announced the release of the Redmi Note 12 phones for the Benelux. Four models will be released: the regular 4G version, a 5G version, a Pro model with 5G and a Pro + model with a larger camera and faster charging.
All four phones have a screen with the same diagonal and resolution. It is a 6.67″ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. The difference is in the maximum brightness, because the Pro models can be brighter: up to 900 candelas per square meter, the manufacturer claims. The regular 4G version comes to 450 candela per square meter.
The phones have a USB-C port for charging and a 3.5mm jack for connecting your own headsets. The phones do differ in the maximum charging speed. The Redmi Note 12 4G and 5G variant come to 33W, the Pro to 67W and the Pro+ to 120W. Another difference is in the camera. The three cheaper ones have a primary camera with a 50-megapixel sensor, but that sensor is around 35 square millimeters in the regular 4G and 5G version and 50 square millimeters in the Pro. The Pro+ has a 200-megapixel camera of 62 square millimeters.
Xiaomi had already announced the phones last year for a release in the home country. The smartphones are available immediately. The Redmi Note 124G costs 249 euros, the 5G version costs 299 euros, the Note 2 Pro goes for 399 euros and the Note Pro + changes hands for 499 euros.
