Microsoft is adding an option to set key combinations on the Xbox Elite Series 2 and Xbox Adaptive controllers. This makes it easier for users to play PC games with limited controller support.

The keybinding feature became available to Xbox Insiders in August, but it is trendy the latest Xbox update made available for all users. The feature works through the Xbox Accessories app on both consoles and PC. This allows users to customize keyboard buttons to all buttons on their Elite Series 2 or Adaptive controller.

It is also possible to set key combinations, such as Ctrl + Shift + C, to a single controller button. It is not possible to set multiple non-modifiers. For example, the key combination Ctrl + Shift + C + V would not work. Microsoft published earlier a blog post with an explanation about the feature.

In the update, Microsoft also adds an option to easily import Xbox game captures to Microsoft Clipchamp, the built-in video editing software for Windows. Users can edit and share the videos with it. Furthermore, it will be easier for Xbox users to disable data collection. When users disable that option on one device, it will automatically be applied to all devices associated with the user’s account.
