Withings has announced its Move watches. The more expensive Move ECG has the ability to make a limited form of an electrocardiogram, just like the Apple Watch Series 4 can. These are analog watches with fitness tracking.

The French company gives few details about the watches, such as which sensors are in them. It only talks about the features that the watches offer. The regular Move would last eighteen months with a battery charge, while the more expensive version with ECG function lasts up to twelve months. These are analog watches with a third hand to show how far users are in achieving the step goal.

The watches can measure steps taken, movement and height, among other things. This makes it possible to track workouts, but the GPS requires the watch to lean on a connected device, such as a smartphone.

The ECG version works through the sides of the watch and with an extra measuring point in the strap, so that there are three measuring points. Users must hold that pose for up to thirty seconds to enable the measurement, which then appears in the app.

The Move will be released in multiple colors and finishes later this year, and users will then be able to configure their own watch, including dial, hands and case colorways. The Move costs 69.95 euros and will be released in February; the version with ecg support costs 129.95 euros and will be released in the spring.

Withings was part of Nokia after a takeover, but is now an independent company again. In addition to the watches, Withings also comes with the BPM Core, with which users can measure their blood pressure in addition to an ECG and take a measurement to check the heart valves. That tire costs 249.95 euros.
