Cloud computing is an information technology (IT) term and used for the providing of hosted services over the internet. With Cloud computing companies can consume resources as a utility like electricity. These resources can be virtual-machine, storage or an application. By using hosting services companies can avoid large expenses to build and maintain their own computing infrastructures.

Following are types of cloud computing.

Private Cloud Computing

Private cloud computing is cloud infrastructure that provides services for only one company or and organization. Its operated by company or someone (third-party) manage for a single company.  In other words, Private Cloud relates a distinct and secure cloud-based environment in which only the specified client can operate. Private Could boost the business but at very high cost. There is some security issue that must be taken in to account to avoid vulnerabilities. Data center required huge investments and physical space.

Public Cloud Computing

When cloud computing services are open to everyone or the general public, its called public cloud computing. Public cloud services may be free or paid.  We can call internet basic public cloud. The service providers used the internet to make resources. Some famous public cloud computing platforms are  Windows Azure Services Platform, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Sun Cloud, IBM’s Blue Cloud and Google App Engine. Public Cloud is best for people who could not afford their own private cloud setup due to huge expenses.

Hybrid Cloud Computing

Hybrid cloud computing is a combination of public cloud and a private cloud. Hybrid cloud allowing data and applications to be shared between public and private cloud. When processing demand increase or decrease, hybrid cloud computing gives companies the ability to scale their in-house infrastructure up to the public cloud. With this way, the company can handle any overflow and they don’t have to give third-party datacenters access to the entirety of their own data.  This type of cloud computing gives companies flexibility and computing power of the public cloud for their basic and non-sensitive computing operations, while business sensitive applications and data, safely kept behind a firewall.
