Vivaldi has released a browser for iOS. There is also a version for iPadOS. The app has a built-in tracking blocker and users can easily switch search engines. Vivaldi iOS must still use WebKit as its rendering engine.

Vivaldi says that the browser can be downloaded by everyone in the App Store. The browser is available for iOS, but there is also a version optimized for the iPad. Among other things, the browser shows tabs similar to the desktop variant and users can set shortcuts that they see when opening a new tab.

The browser also has a built-in note app where the notes are also synchronized with a Vivaldi account. It is also possible to set a different default search engine and quickly switch between them. Vivaldi also has a built-in Ad and Tracker Blocker. It works with different modes. By default, nothing is blocked, but it is also possible to block trackers, or trackers and advertisements.

While the desktop version of the browser is based on Chromium, the iOS version is not. It does not use the Blink rendering engine like Chromium, but WebKit. That’s the standard rendering engine that Apple enforces across all browser makers.
