Twitter reveals if tweet violates rules and has therefore been removed

Twitter will show up to fourteen days after a deleted tweet that the tweet violated the rules of the social network and has therefore been taken offline. Now Twitter is not clear on whether a user has deleted a tweet voluntarily or whether it was mandatory.

At the place of the tweet there will be a text with a link to the rules of the social network, so says twitter. That text will appear on both the direct link of the tweet and on the user’s account page. For example, it is immediately visible that Twitter has removed a tweet because it violates the rules. If users themselves decide to delete a tweet, that text will not be there and will not appear on the user’s account page.

Anyone who reports a tweet as spam will no longer need to see it from soon. Twitter immediately hides it and shows a notification that the user has reported the tweet. It’s in the regular timeline. The new rules should clarify how and when Twitter applies its rules. They go in immediately. Twitter also announced on Wednesday that it had put online a dataset of deleted accounts that it linked to election influencing.
