The new Synology router RT6600ax will be available from Tuesday. The manufacturer gives the router a suggested retail price of 325 euros. Also, Synology makes the new Synology Router Manager software available for the router.
Synology has the Specifications of the router online and reports that the router will be available worldwide from May 11. The router was already announced by Synology at the end of last year, along with the new version of SRM. At the moment, SRM 1.3 is only available for the RT6600ax, but will also be available for the MR2200ac and RT2600ac models later this year.
The Synology RT6600ax is a three-band Wi-Fi 6 router. The router supports the usual 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections. In addition, the router has a second 5GHz channel. The router has a total bandwidth of 6600Mbit/s.
The router has three 1Gbit/s ports and a 2.5GbE port on the back. The RT6600ax runs on an ARM quad-core processor of 1.8Ghz and has 1GB DDR3 ram. The new Synology Router Manager software makes it possible, among other things, to isolate devices on the network. The mobile app has also been overhauled, which should provide a better experience, according to Synology.
