IMDb TV, an Amazon streaming service offering free movies and series, is coming to Europe later this year. According to the service, the offer consists of premium content. The number of available films and series is currently being tripled.

According to IMDb TV, formerly known as IMDb Freedive, the tripling will mean thousands of new titles are coming to the ad-supported platform. It is not clear whether that entire catalog will also come to Europe or whether the service will be available in all European countries later this year.

IMDb TV was already available to US customers, for example via the well-known IMDb website, via the Fire TV stick or as a free channel within the Prime Video app. Exactly how the service is offered in Europe is not disclosed.

IMDb TV has been around since the beginning of this year. The service gives users the opportunity, in exchange for watching ads, to watch movies and TV series for free, including better-known titles such as Captain Fantastic, La La Land, Drive, Donnie Darko and A Knight’s Tale. According to the company, the streaming service now has 34 million users worldwide.
