Somfy’s Connexoon and TaHoma smarthome hubs can now be controlled with Google Assistant. Somfy makes cameras, shutters, curtains, garage doors and more. The hubs also work with other brands of devices.

The two hubs already worked with Amazon Alexa, Olisto and ifttt and Google Assistant will be added immediately. Users can control smart devices in their home with voice commands, or run through a scenario. This is a combination of commands, such as closing the curtains and dimming the lights in the ‘watch a movie’ scenario.

The Somfy Connexoon is specially designed for operating compatible sun blinds, roller shutters, garage doors and gates based on io-homecontrol. TaHoma has wider compatibility. Somfy describes it as a hub with which one can operate ‘the entire living environment’. It works with io-homecontrol and RTS and Philips Hue lamps, Velux skylights, Honeywell and Danfoss thermostats and Hitachi air conditioners.
