Software Update: WS_FTP Pro 7.61

Anonymous: 59670 alerted us to a new release of WS_FTP Pro. This new release can be downloaded here and has the following changes:

Defects fixed for 7.61:
o Auto-Reconnect doesn’t return to the current folder
o Control channel timeout during long transfers
o MLSD directory listing shows pdir and cdir values ​​as subdirectories
o Browse for folder dialog will crash in Sync & Find utility is a url is entered into the edit field.
o Application will crash when transferring a directory structure longer than MAX_PATH o SFTP shouldn’t have transfer mode, file mask, account, send unique, keep alive & initialize command enabled.
o Transfer Manager does not prompt the user to start batch request when ending a batch session in SFTP or SSL.
o Copy/Paste and drag/drop a folder from Find to Pro will crash Pro.
o User is prompted to start a batch request when the request is already started or even finished. o Upload a 0 byte file in SFTP and it will never finish.
o SFTP uploads will hang if the last packet is lost.

o Compute key mismatch is causing incompatibilities with some SSH servers
o Error during SFTP dir listing will hang the application o Application prompts stating that 2 similar directory names are equal
o SSH implementation doesn’t support “SSH-RSA” alogorithm

SFTP/SSH:
WS_FTP Pro v7.6 includes support for SFTP over SSH. All features available in the application are available for SFTP/SSH connections where appropriate.

New Synchronize utility:
The Synchronize utility has been rewritten to be a more functional and user-friendly application. The new sync utility provides the following new features:
o Visually compare the sync operation before actually transferring.
o Easy configuration screen allows creation of simple or complex synchronization operations.
o Location configuration now allows synchronization between local/remote or remote/remote.
o Easily configure multiple upload or download exclusions o and more…

Dial up networking support:
WS_FTP Pro now supports the selection of a Dial-Up-Networking profile to use with WS_FTP Pro.

Multi part downloads:
Multi-part downloads allow WS_FTP Pro to split a large file into multiple parts and use multiple transfer connections to download those parts simultaneously. This feature is useful when downloading large files from an FTP server that limits bandwidth per connection. Improved Per-User installation

support:
Per-user installation support is now integrated into the WS_FTP Pro application. There is no need to run a separate installation program to configure per-user installations.
