Download WS_FTP 7.02

nazgul sent us the message that on the site of ipswitch a new version can be downloaded from the well-known “WS_FTP”. You can download an update from 7.x to 7.02 here. If you don’t have WS_FTP yet, you can here download a demo (Contact information required!). Judging by the changelog, a lot of things have been fixed:

Issues Fixed in Version 7.02

• Performance in getting and sorting directory lists for large directories.
• Edit file didn’t use the text viewer like version 6.7.
• Can’t change directory or delete files on MVS host.
• Find Utility crashed when transferring files.
• Time Difference and Time Offset worked incorrectly in Sync Utility.
• Folder exclusion didn’t work correctly in Sync Utility.
• Find Utility crashed in Win ME when canceling a paste.
• Auto reget information in help was incorrect.
• Duplicate items would keep pages from being displayed in help.
• Copying sites/folders into the same directory crashed Explorer.
• RETR and STOR FTP commands ignored the specified transfer mode.
• MPUT didn’t support “*.extension” syntax in Script Utility.
• Classic didn’t support sorting by Type field.
• No help (F1) was available in Firescript Editor.
• Classic and Explorer used too many resources when viewing large directories.
• Files could not be copied and pasted to desktop in Find Utility.
• Sorting by “in folder” didn’t work correctly and sorting by “Type” didn’t work in Find Utility.
• GET and PUT commands in Script Utility had to have filename in the destination.

• Site-to-site transfer without permission on one site caused transfer dialog displayed forever.

• In site-to-site transfer, even though without permission, transfer would try and send files twice.

• Log didn’t show details in Script Utility.
• Log and Trace windows in Script Utility stopped updating after transferring many files.
• When transferring a file using FTP command, RETR didn’t display progress dialog or show the file in Transfer Manager.
• Sending files or folders to scheduler failed when connected to a URL or other hosttype (VMS, MVS, etc.).
• It wasn’t possible to define ASCII extensions by starting its name with a dot.
• Selecting folders in the ComboBox disconnected and connected again to the same site.
• BULL GCOS hosttype wasn’t properly parsing date/time, or filesize.
• Tandem-G host type wasn’t properly parsing the time field.
• Closing from drop down menu while finding hung Find Utility.
• Script Utility wasn’t loading default settings for profiles.
• Browser for folder failed with VMS.
• Command line didn’t work for some hosttypes.
• Prompt for overwrite same or newer files was done for every file that exist in the destination instead of just the same or newer.
• Startup local folder in Classic wasn’t current folder.
