Corel, which now owns WinZip, has released a beta release of version 11.0 of the archive utility. WinZip used to be a popular program on the PC, but with the built-in zip support in the newer versions of Windows and competition from programs like WinRAR and 7-Zip, its popularity has been waning for a while now. Since version 10.0 there are two different versions; a standard and a pro version. The first costs thirty dollars, the second costs fifty dollars, with an upgrade from version 10.0 costing half.
