Download VMware Workstation Pro 15.5.6

VMware has released version 15.5.6 of its virtualization software Workstation Pro. With this program it is possible to create one or more virtual computers on which a large number of different operating systems can be installed. That way they can be used side by side, as opposed to a dual boot setup, which requires choosing one OS or the other. VMware Workstation is available for Windows and Linux, and licenses start at about 275 euros. VMWare has fixed some minor issues in version 15.5.6.

Resolved Issues

• The quality of sound playback and recording through the emulated ES1371 sound device is degraded when compared to Workstation 15.5.2 Player and earlier versions. This issue is now resolved.
• The Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock keys and indicators behave erratically in a Linux virtual machine running on Workstation 15.5.5 Player. This issue is now resolved.
