Download Sun Java 6
Sun Microsystems released version 6 of Java Platform Standard Edition yesterday. New in this release is support for combining Java code with other languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby and JavaScript. Sun has also implemented a large number of performance improvements, which are particularly noticeable in the garbage collector and the virtual machine. In addition, interoperability with Microsoft systems has been improved, in collaboration with the Redmond software company. Finally, it should be noted that Java SE 6 is the first Java release to be developed in public: several hundred third-party developers and companies contributed to the final product.
