Software Update: RouterOS 7.3.1

MikroTik released version 7.3 of RouterOS earlier this week and an update has now been released. RouterOS is an operating system that focuses on running router tasks† This includes routing network traffic, of course, but also bandwidth management, a firewall, controlling wireless access points, a hotspot gateway and a VPN server. It can be done on the hardware from MikroTik when doing its job on x86 or virtual machines. Before use, a license required, which is included with the purchase of MikroTik hardware. What’s new in 7.3.1:

  • rb3011 – fixed RB3011 going into a reboot loop when the SFP module is present (introduced in v7.3)
  • wifiwave2 – fixed WPA3-PSK authentication incompatibility with certain vendor and model devices
