PassMark Software, known for BurnInTest, WirelessMon and PerformanceTest, among others, has released version 3.1 build 1100 of DiskCheckup. This program, which is free for home use, allows the health of the hard drive to be monitored. This is done by reading the registers of hard drives equipped with SMART technology. If certain values ​​are exceeded, the program can send an e-mail. DiskCheckup works with most hard drives, with the exception of scsi and raid setups. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 3.1 build 1000

• Added support for executing disk self tests (if implemented by the drive)
• Drive information can now be refreshed by pressing ‘F5’ or clicking on the refresh button. Clicking on the drive icon will no longer refresh the drive information.
• Minor UI fixes

Changes in version 3.0 build 1009:

• DiskCheckup now attempts to issue SMART commands regardless if SMART enable failed (SysInfo DLL fix)
