Software update: Opera 7.20 beta 5 Linux

Just three days after the release of Opera 7.2 beta 4, a new version of this popular browser is already available. Unlike the previous version, this release is only suitable for the Linux and FreeBSD platform. This because beta 5 for windows came out a little earlier. The changelog looks like this:

  • Fix for display problem with frames pages. See NOTE above.

  • Fix for mail display problem

    Toolbars:

  • Support for toolbar extender menu. Used in personal toolbar and page toolbar.

    Page cycler:

  • Fixed a problem that caused the page cycler window not to close when Ctrl was
    released. It would happen if Ctrl was pressed down outside opera and released inside
    This sort of problem could occur if Ctrl+ was mapped by the window manager
    to switch workspaces.
  • Direction fix for page cycling without page-cycler window. Opera cycled the
    opposite direction of what was intended.
  • Page cycler window will now open a new column if not all page entries can be
    represented in the current column.

    Misc:

  • Proper enabling/gray out handling of “add all to bookmarks”
  • Gray out Copy and Cut menu entries for edit fields that contain a
    password
  • clock fix
  • fast forward fix
