Download Notepad++ 5.7.1 RC 2

This weekend the second release candidate of version 5.7.1 of Notepad++ has been released. Notepad++ is an extensive text editor with various features that are especially useful for programmers, such as syntax highlighting for C, C++, Java, html, xml and php, among others. The program also offers the possibility to edit more than one document at the same time or even to maintain one document in two different places. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Enhancement and bug fixed (from v5.7):

• Update Scintilla to v2.21.
• Fix a vulnerability issue: Load ScinLexer.dll with its full path to avoid hijack.
• Fix dragging undocked window performance issue while using Vista Aero UI style.
• Fix large file truncated after loading problem.
• Improve file loading performance.

Regressions fixed (from v5.7.1 RC):

• Fix “Select and Find Next” and “Count” regressions.
• Fix the menu items settings non-memorized regression.
• Fix Lexer SearchResult syntax highlighting bug.
• Fix macro recoding for find in files regression.
• Fix html/xml/php folding disappeared problem.
• Fix “#if 1 //” making Notepad++ crash issue.
