Download NewsLeecher 1.0 beta 31 (RC2)

NewsLeecher has once again released a new beta, the 31st this time. As far as version 1.0 is concerned, it seems to be happening now, because this version has been given the subtitle RC2. NewsLeecher is intended for reading messages and downloading files from usenet newsgroups. The changelog shows the following changes:

1.0 Beta 31 (RC2) – Released 07 Sep 2004

• It is now possible to turnoff the NewsLeecher splash screen by starting the application with a -NoSplash parameter.
• The queue move-to-top/bottom algorithm has been tweaked a bit. More than 10000% faster than in beta 30.
• Several smaller improvements.
• Fixed bug where NewsLeecher would interpret multipart articles with subjects prefixed by ‘Re:’ as singlepart messages.
• Fixed bug where the ‘Put download into groupname subfolders’ option was ignored when ‘smart downloading’.
