The first beta release of NewsBin Pro 6.73 has been released. With this program files, such as photos, videos and programs, can be retrieved from usenet. It has everything you would expect from a usenet downloader, such as support for multithreading, ssl and autopar. There are also extensive filter options and an optional Usenet search service can be used. In version 6.70, among other things, the download engine has been rewritten and the spam logic has been moved to a separate dll. The changelog for version 6.73 shows the following improvements:

- Verified that filter profiles really do filter watch items.
- Add RAR/ZIP/GZ decode to NZB’s downloaded using Sonarr/SB. The NZB’s now get sent to the “Nzbs” folder in order to implement this.
- Changes to how re-scan works resulting in less disk access.

- Fixed issue where the $(SEARCH) path variable wasn’t working for local searches.
- Fixed issue where “All groups” wasn’t actually selecting all groups in local search.
- Fixed issue where Filter Profiles weren’t apply during watch list rescan
- Addressed issue with $(FILENAME)path variable not working with automatic download modes. Only works for .rar files.
