Software Update: Movie Explorer 1.2.1

Spread the love

Movie Explorer is a program for OS X that can scan internal, external and network drives for the presence of movie files. These are then stored in a catalog, including information about the film itself and images and posters.

Movie Explorer is a free download from the Mac App Store and is being developed by fellow tweaker Ron Elemans. Version 1.2.1 was released recently and it fixes some issues in version 1.2 and adds some new features.

What’s New in Version 1.2.1

  • Implemented ‘Use Image as Movie Thumbnail’ context menu item in the Gallery window.
  • Added ‘Move to Trash’ context menu item in the Files view.
  • Corrected the algorithm of the movie matching mechanism that prevented detection of movie titles that matches with some metadata phrases.
  • Solved issues with the More/Less buttons in the Sidebar.
  • Fixed an incidental issue of losing the first typed character when starting a new search action.
  • Solved a bug that caused a crash after scanning a location while the main window was closed.
