Frash found on the forum from Invision Power Services a topic stating that the first beta of Invision Power Board version 1.2 has been released. Unfortunately, there is no changelog available yet. On the forum we read the following:
We have found IPB v1.2 very stable during our private testing and surprisingly problem free. We’ve fixed over 150 bugs over the last week and we can’t take it any further until we start the public BETA testing period. So here we are.
It is a BETA and bugs should be expected, however, we have had an extensive private BETA testing period which has fixed up nearly all of the easily reproducible bugs. With this in mind we can see no reason why you shouldn’t use this BETA in a production environment. It’s always prudent to back up important data before upgrading and this situation is no different
The converters available for download will not work properly with v1.2 – we’ll be updating those this week – including the improved vB2 convertor with attachment and avatar support.
