The search engine Google has beta version 0.5.67 released from Deskbar. This program nestles in the Windows 98/Me/2k/XP taskbar and displays the search results entered in the text field. In addition, you can search in the Google Groups and the picture archive† A changelog of this version is unfortunately nowhere to be seen, but there is a short list of features:

- Search using Google, even when your browser isn’t running
- Preview search results in a small inset window that closes automatically
- Access Google from any application by typing Ctrl+Alt+G
- Use keyboard shortcuts for multiple Google searches, ie, Google News (Ctrl+N),Google Images (Ctrl+I), or Froogle (Ctrl+F)
