Software update: GetRight 5.2c

Spread the love

Headlight Software has updated its download manager GetRight to version 5.2c. This program can resume aborted downloads, download a file from multiple servers at the same time, and automatically shut down the computer after downloading. The changelog since the last entry in the junk tracker looks like this:

Fixes in 5.2c:

  • Added to Download Status, Options menu so if you are using Exact ordering you can set to add new downloads as either first or last in the list.
  • Added some things for FlashGot integration with Firefox.
  • Added so the GetRight Browser shows any of your Server Synchronizer items in the Go menu.
  • Fix so some HTTP sites with a login will prompt right.
  • Fix so URLs using the user:pass@server format in the Save/Open window shows the server name right.
  • Fix so detects other browsers better if a limited user account (so some settings not there.)
  • A bunch of other minor fixes.

Fixes in 5.2b:

  • Include newer version of the UnZIP DLL that fixes a “buffer-overrun” problem in their DLL. The problem in the older DLL is a potential security hole…for this one alone, you should upgrade.
  • Fix so download window buttons are positioned right if using some different windows display/font settings.
  • Fix so “Start when Web Browser starts” shouldn’t get triggered incorrectly.
