Kaos Studios has released a new patch for ‘Frontlines: Fuel of War’. Fuel of War takes place in the future. Oil has become so scarce that Russia and China have formed the Red Star Alliance and are taking on the Western Coalition Army allied against America and Europe to get hold of the last oil wells. In the single player mode of the game you are part of the Stray Dogs, a group of soldiers from the Western Coalition Army, who suddenly find themselves fighting against troops from the Red Star Alliance. The new 1.0.2 update is available from this page for the retail and download versions of the game. In the new version of Fuel of War, the developers have removed a number of crash bugs from the game and made minor improvements. DW-ike, who alerted us to the 1.0.2 patch, has stated that the update will not include in-game speech capabilities, but will likely be added in another update. Below you can read which changes have been made:

- Crashes when locking the screen during loads has been fixed (ie Using Alt+Tab).
- Server browser will no longer show servers that are not running.
- Alt+Tab will work properly in Windows Media Center.
- Lockups/crashes while “Please Wait” popup is on screen has been fixed.
- Player no longer becomes stuck in an unresponsive menu after quitting a match at the end of a round.
- NAT (Network Address Translation) – Listen Server now shows public IP and can be joined.
- Fix for infinite loops that occasionally appear in single player.
- Fix for hang issue/crash for Chinese and Korean native operating systems.
- Game will no longer crash when the user suspends the game using Ctrl+Alt+Del or Win+L on the splash screen after the game launch.
- New .dlls to address sound card issues added.
- Fixed Japanese character issue on scoreboards.
- Russian fonts fixed.
- Polish, Chinese, and Czech language support added.
- Player count sort fixed on server browser.
