Download FileZilla 3.4.0 beta1

A new development version of the open source FTP client FileZilla has been released. FileZilla is small, simple and yet complete. The program is popular due to its low system resource load. FileZilla is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, and can be downloaded from this page be downloaded in different versions. New in this release is, among other things, that an attempt is always made to establish a secure connection first. The full changelog looks like this:

New features:

• Normal FTP connections now always attempt to negotiate secure FTP over TLS
• Added option to force use of secure plain FTP to Site Manager
• Kiosk mode option can now also be read from FileZilla.xml, with fzdefaults.xml having priority if setting exists in both files

Bug fixes and minor changes:

• Fix memory leak in directory cache
• Compatibility with obscure DOS servers using forward slashes as path delimiter
• MSW: Horizontal scroll bar in file lists and queue did not appear if changing column widths
• Improve text wrapping engine
