Download dvd2avi 0.6.2

The developers of dvd2avi have released a new version of the program. It concerns version 0.6.2, which from this page can be downloaded from various mirror servers. Dvd2avi is an open source program for Posix-like operating systems and can easily convert DVD movie to MPEG4 DivX movie. It is possible to indicate whether only a chapter should be converted, in which bitrate or size the movie should be converted and whether the movie to be converted should be cropped. Since this is the first mention of dvd2avi in ​​the Meuktracker, the changes since the first publicly available version are listed below:

• made all combos got ready by the script instead of ‘glade’
• updated INSTALL and README files

• added chapter_combo instead of spinbutton, looks better

• total rewrite of GUI, hope it’s better on the screen now 🙂
• changed mp3lame option from ‘preset=” to “br=”
• added HTML folder to the package (includes PHP code so you have to run in under Apache or other PHP ready web-server)

• preview buttons now respect chpters, scale (based on bitrate and bpp), video filters, deint filters, audio tracks etc
• autocropping respects chaptes as well
• the a:b:c:d cropping entry is now parsed for correct form and warning is diplayed in negative case
