Software update: Coolbits 2

Spread the love

On the nV News forum we found a topic from user ‘rewt’ explaining how to adjust hidden settings of nVidia ForceWare drivers via a simple registry file. He has named the regfile as Coolbits 2. After adding the file it is possible to overclock the video card and further tweak OpenGL and Direct3D settings. Coolbits 2 only works with GeForce video cards in combination with ForceWare version 55.xx and above. The registry file can be downloaded from the file server via this link. Rewt leaves the following on the nV News forum:

Since so many of you like my Coolbits tweak I decided to continue my work further. Coolbits 2 adds additional support for mobile systems, enables the Direct3d and OpenGL configuration tabs, and even more tweaking capability from the nVidia taskbar settings panel. Hope you all enjoy

This tweak is intended for use with GeForce cards and forceware 55.xx – 6x.xx drivers. It gives many extra options to the control panel/driver, including but not limited to – overclocking, agp & hardware settings, fan control, troubleshooting dialog, and openGL 2.0 support!
