Christoph Sinai has released a new version of his application coconutBattery, formerly known as myBattery, with 2.5 as the version number. This allows the status of the battery in an Apple iBook, MacBook or Powerbook to be read. It shows both the current voltage and the capacity relative to a new battery. The program takes advantage of some Tiger-specific capabilities that require Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later to be installed on the system. The list of changes looks like this:
