Clonezilla is an open source program for creating disk images. Among other things, it is possible to make backups of partitions or of the entire hard disk, or a copy of a hard disk: a so-called clone. Clonezilla is therefore an open source variant of Macrium Reflect and Acronis True Image. The whole thing is based on a Debian distribution and it uses DRBL, Partclone and udpcast. Clonezilla live is intended for standalone computers, while with Clonezilla server and SE up to 40 computers can be imaged simultaneously. With version number 3.0.1-8 a new stable release of Clonezilla has been released and the changelog of that version looks like this:
Enhancements And Changes
- The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2022/Jun/12).
- Linux kernel was updated to 5.18.5-1.
- Add packages ngrep, duf, duff and dfc in the live system.
- Add more options in boot parameters to be parsed, including: extra_pbzip2_opt, extra_lbzip2_opt, extra_plzip_opt, extra_lz4mt_opt, and extra_xz_opt. Thanks to ottokang for this request.
- Update live boot as 1:20220505.drbl1, and jfbterm 0.4.7-49.drbl2 (sync the version number with that of Fedora).
- The option –rsyncable of zstd causes bad performance. It can be 5 times slower for v1.4.x, and worse for v1.5.2. Hence by default we do not use it, and use zstd 1.5.2 again in this release. Ref†

Bug Fixes
- Do not let sudo to spawn pseudo-terminal when running a job. Otherwise ocs-live-run-menu will be run twice, and it will make the console weird. Ref†
- Replace buggy /usr/share/terminfo/j/jfbterm from ncurses-term.
