A new version of Caliber has been released. Caliber is an open source e-book management program and is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Among other things, it can look up all relevant information and cover images, and convert e-books to make them suitable for the various types of e-readers. Furthermore, the program can convert newspapers, magazines and news articles based on RSS feeds into e-book format. Books can also be purchased with Caliber at the well-known web stores. Lately there are less frequent updates and this is because Kovid Goyal is currently spending a lot of time on the migration to Python 3. In version 3.43, the following improvements have been made:

- Kobo driver: Support for new Kobo firmware

- PDF Output: Fix hang when converting some documents.

- Fix metadata download from Amazon stripping accents from comments text in the binary builds.

- LRF Input: Fix a regression that broke parsing LRF files. Close tickets: 1826970.
- PDF Input: Workaround for pdftohtml not always producing valid UTF-8. Close tickets: 1830568.
