Yesterday, after a long series of betas, version 2.3.0.0 of the BitTorrent client Azureus written in Java was released. The program runs on Linux, MacOS X and Windows, among others, and has features such as prioritizing specific torrents or even individual files in a torrent. It also has a built-in tracker so that you can also share files yourself. In addition, through plugins the possibilities are further expanded.
