Malwarebytes has released AdwCleaner version 8.0.9. This program aims to remove malware, such as toolbars added to web browsers and so-called hijackers, which modify the homepage and search engine, among other things. Support is available for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. After the scan has been performed, you can decide for yourself what needs to be removed. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:
New features:
- Only ask for a reboot when needed rather than everytime after cleaning. It is now only required to rebo ot when an element cannot be quarantined without rebooting.
Changes:
- Remove the survey dialog to reduce the number of clicks.
- Update translations
- Update definitions to 2021.11.1
Bug fixes:
- Allow Splashtop remote control to keep running while doing the cleanup.
