Software Update: Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw 3.6 beta

Spread the love

Adobe has released a new beta version of Photoshop Camera Raw, with which the developers are testing RAW photo support for a number of digital cameras. This test version is provided with version number 3.6 beta and can be downloaded for Mac OS X and Windows. Photoshop Camera Raw is a handy plugin for Adobe Photoshop CS2 that allows RAW photo files to be opened directly without first converting them to a different format, after which the raw photos can be edited and possibly saved in a different format. RAW is the raw unprocessed photo that comes directly from the sensor, supplemented with the data from the settings of your device such as the shutter speed, aperture and ISO value. This means that the photo can be edited on the PC without loss of quality. The support of the following digital cameras is being tested in Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw 3.6 beta:

  • Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi
  • Leica D-LUX3
