Component manufacturer Scythe has released a new CPU air cooler in the Mugen series. The air cooler comes in two variants, one of which is the Black Edition and contains an extra fan and is colored black.
The Scythe Mugen 6 and the Mugen 6 Black Edition are successors to the Mugen 5 that was released in 2022. It is an air cooler with aluminum fins and six nickel copper heat pipes of 6 mm thickness. The cooler has a Wonder Tornado 120 PWM fan of 120mm that runs at a maximum of 2000rpm and produces volumes of up to 26.88dBa. Both coolers fit LGA1700, LGA115x, LGA1200, LGA2011, LGA2066, AM4 and AM5 sockets.
Scythe also releases a Black Edition of that model. It has not one, but two of the Wonder Tornado fans. The Black Edition takes its name from the fact that the fins and heat pipes are black.
The normal version of the cooler measures 132x106mm. The Black Edition is slightly thicker due to the extra fan, 132x132mm. The models are both 154.4mm high. Scythe does not yet write anything about the prices and availability of the coolers.
