Samsung has started to distribute the stable Android 10 upgrade for the Galaxy S10. Many betas were released in the past weeks, but now the stable version is ready. The upgrade will be available first in Germany.
Participants in the beta in Germany will receive the upgrade on Thursday, reports SamMobile. Since the beta also runs on Android 10, it is an update that is 140MB in size. For users who are on Android 9 Pie, the upgrade will probably be much larger. The security patch shows the date December 1, 2019, which indicates that Samsung ships the latest Android patch with the software.
With the stable version ready, the upgrade for users of Galaxy S10 phones to Android 9 will follow in the coming days or weeks, SamMobile thinks. The most recent roadmap published by Tizenhelp shows that Samsung wants the upgrade for S10 devices ready in January, as well as for the S9, Note 10 and A30. The Galaxy Fold, A50 and A6 will follow in April. Samsung is only bringing the upgrade to 2018 and 2019 models. 2017 models, such as the Galaxy S8 and Note 8, will not receive the upgrade.
