Rumor: Samsung wants to release midrange phone with 7000mAh battery in September

More information has appeared about what the Samsung Galaxy M51 would be, a smartphone with a 7000mAh battery. The average battery capacity of a smartphone is now around 4000mAh, while smartphones with large batteries are often around 5000mAh.

That 7000mAh battery can be charged with 25W, MySmartPrice reports. It would be the largest battery in a Samsung smartphone to date. The South Korean manufacturer equips its Galaxy M phones with large batteries. For example, the M31s released this summer has a 6000mAh battery with the possibility to charge with 25W.

The device should have been released earlier, but the release is now scheduled for September. Renders and details have already come out earlier. The phone has a 6.67 “OLED display with a 1080p resolution, but the exact details such as aspect ratio are not clear. The soc is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730. The back is said to have four cameras, of which the primary camera has a 64-megapixel sensor. Rumors have been going on for almost six months about the phone with a 7000mAh battery and the first renders were released in March.
