Motorola will probably provide its recently announced smartwatch Moto 360 with an OLED screen. The rumors also indicate that the device will be wirelessly rechargeable. The manufacturer itself has released few specifications.

The rumors were posted on the Chinese social networking site Weibo and were spotted by G for Games. According to the site, it is a reliable source, which previously revealed the arrival of the Moto X. According to the source, the Moto 360 will be equipped with an OLED screen that is covered with sapphire glass. The resolution of the screen was not mentioned. Motorola probably opts for OLED to save energy, so that the screen can always remain on. Smartwatches with an LCD usually have to turn on the screen by the user, although the Galaxy Gear can turn on automatically when the user turns his wrist.

Users could also charge the Motorola smartwatch wirelessly via induction. However, it is still unclear which chargers are supported exactly. In addition, it was stated that the Moto 360 would be expensive to put into production; as a result, it is expected that a decent price will be charged, although further information is lacking.

Motorola recently announced the Moto 360 at the launch of Android Wear, a mobile operating system from Google specifically intended for wearables. The device should be released around the summer, but the manufacturer has not officially released anything yet.
