OnePlus is expected to come with the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro smartphone next year, but according to a rumor, the manufacturer will also release a third model, called the 9E. It is still unknown where exactly this device will be positioned.
The rumor comes from Max Jambor, who has released reliable information about OnePlus devices more often. On the Voice website, he says that in addition to the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, there is a third device that nobody has talked about so far. Nothing further is known about this OnePlus 9E and it is also unclear where he got the information.
Jambor says it is still unclear whether the 9E will be placed above the OnePlus 9 or below it, as a relative budget option. He speculates that OnePlus is betting on the same approach as Samsung with the 9E, with a device being released for every price level. The OnePlus Nord N series would then consist of the budget models, followed by the Nord as a midrange device, followed by the 9 and 9E and finally the 9 Pro as the most expensive high-end model.
Earlier this month, renders were published of what the OnePlus 9 Pro and the regular OnePlus 9 should be. Not much information about these suspected devices is yet known, but it is expected that they will both be based on the design of the OnePlus 8T and will both get a Snapdragon 875-soc. According to rumors, OnePlus would present the devices in March next year.
