AMD may introduce several new Ryzen 7000 desktop processors at CES in January. The company would come out with a Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 5 7600, all three without the ‘X’ suffix. The processors should be released on Tuesday, January 10.
AMD will announce the processors on January 4 at its CES keynote in Las Vegas, writes Wccftech based on its own sources. These are cheaper models of the existing Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X and Ryzen 5 7600X. The upcoming non-X models are largely identical to their respective counterparts, but have lower clock speeds and have a lower standard tdp of 65W.
According to Wccftech, the Ryzen 9 7900 will have an MSRP of $429, where the 7900X was priced at $549 at release. The Ryzen 7 7700 would cost $329, while the Ryzen 5 7600 would have a suggested retail price of $229. That makes those two processors both $70 cheaper than their more expensive counterparts.
According to previous rumors, AMD will also introduce new Ryzen 7000-X3D desktop processors during CES. These processors have extra 3D V-Cache. AMD would come up with three different X3D models this time, with 12, 8 and 6 cores. A concrete release date for these CPUs is not yet known, but they are expected to appear in the first quarter of 2023, also writes VideoCardz.
