Remedy Entertainment has announced the system requirements for the PC version of Alan Wake 2. To play the game in 4k at 60fps, with ray tracing and path tracing enabled, a GeForce RTX 4080 is required. DLSS 3 or FSR2 is also recommended for each setting.

Remedy lists the system requirements a post on X. All settings require at least 16GB of RAM and 90GB of SSD storage. Also, an AI upscaling technique must be used for each version to achieve the stated performance. The minimum requirements to achieve 1080p and 30fps are a GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6600 video card, an Intel i5-7600K or similar CPU from AMD and DLSS 3 or FSR2 on the Quality setting.

To run the game at 1080p resolution at 60fps, without ray tracing, an RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT is recommended with 8GB of VRAM and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU or an Intel equivalent. If users do want ray tracing, the same quality requires an RTX 4070, 12GB of VRAM and AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor or an Intel equivalent.

Alan Wake II will be released on October 27 for Windows, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. On Windows, the game is exclusive to the Epic Games Store. The game, a third-person shooter and survival horror game, is released thirteen years after the original.
