Two photos have appeared of the third version of the Motorola razr, a foldable smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer Lenovo. The razr would get a modified design with multiple cameras on the outside.

The phone’s code name is Maven, reports EvLeaks on 91Mobiles. EvLeaks, the pseudonym of Evan Blass, has an almost flawless track record of publishing images of unannounced smartphones. The Maven differs from its predecessor in several respects. For example, the fingerprint scanner is now in the Power button and the cameras are on the back at the bottom right, instead of in a central place.

The primary camera has a 50-megapixel sensor and f/1.8 lens, while it also houses a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The screen on the inside has a hole for a 32-megapixel front camera. The soc in the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Earlier razr’s had midrange socs. There should also be a version with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ soc, but it is unknown if it will come.

Motorola is aiming for a release of the razr in the summer in China. As happened with the Edge 30 Pro, the device will not be released for the global market until later. That will probably be this fall. The previous razr’s appeared in 2019 and 2020. It had been known for some time that a third razr would come.
