Phil Spencer has revealed that Starfield has been played by more than twelve million players since its release. According to the Xbox CEO, the goal is to keep the game interesting for players more than ten years after its release, as was the case with Skyrim.

During the CCXP event in Brazil Spencer said that the space RPG Starfield remains in the top ten most played games from Xbox studios. In addition, the team behind the game is confident that the game will remain ‘very high in the gameplay rankings for many years to come’. The Xbox CEO also promised that more content will come to Starfield.

Bethesda previously announced that official mod support will be coming to the game in 2024. In November, the developer also added official support for Nvidia DLSS. In addition, it is already known that the first expansion, Shattered Space, is on its way. An official release date has not yet been announced, but rumors indicate a release in the first half of 2024. In September, Bethesda announced that Starfield was the studio’s biggest launch ever. By then the game had been played by more than six million people.
