The well-known leaker OnLeaks has published renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4. The smartwatch would have small screen edges and be equipped with two buttons on the side. Samsung will hold a presentation at the MWC on June 28.

The upcoming Galaxy Watch Active 4 shows similarities with its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch Active 2. This is evident from the renders of OnLeaks, which are published by GizNext. The smartwatch will have a screen with relatively small bezels and no rotating bezel or crown, just like the most recent Active variant in Samsung’s Galaxy Watch series. In addition, the Galaxy Watch Active 4 again gets two buttons on the side, although its shape has changed compared to its predecessor. The frame and watch bands of the upcoming smartwatch have also changed slightly.

According to GizNext, Samsung will come with a 44mm and 40mm variant of the Galaxy Watch Active 4. In addition, the smartwatch would be available with a black, silver, gold or green housing. The website also writes that the smartwatch will get a 5nm soc, although no further details are available about it yet. The chip is probably made on Samsung’s own 5nm process.

It is not yet known when Samsung will release the Galaxy Watch Active 4. The company will hold a presentation on June 28 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, in which the tech giant says it will share its ‘vision’ for Samsung’s future smartwatches. GizNext expects the smartwatch to be announced on that date. The watch is expected to run on the new smartwatch operating system from Samsung and Google. This concerns a merger of Google’s WearOS and Samsung’s Tizen. Earlier rumors stated that the upcoming Samsung smartwatches will be on the market on August 11.
